Robin teaches elementary school in the Anne Arundel County Public School system, the same system where she attended school and where both her parents are teachers.
Robin received a Bachelor of Arts from Elon University in North Carolina, where she majored in music and minored in sociology and anthropology. She received her Master of Education from Loyola University in Maryland and was an Early Childhood Interventionist for five years before moving into general education.
In addition to serving on the MSEA Board, Robin is serving her second term on the board of directors for her local affiliate, the Teacher’s Association of Anne Arundel County. She is an active member of her local Instructional Professional Development and Government Relations committees.
Robin became interested in union organizing and leadership early in her career. She found that being active in her association enabled her to truly have a voice to advocate for her students and her colleagues. Robin is particularly interested in organizing around issues that affect early career educators, special education professionals and students, and education funding.
